Of the many different qualities and forms that cannabis concentrate can take, solventless hash has been a sought-after commodity throughout history as the plant has been used as medicine for millennia. In today’s market, the top solventless creation is extracted using Ice and water with flower material that is frozen shortly after it is cut off the plant. This process creates what is known as live resin bubble hash. From there, the bubble hash is taken to a rosin press (a steel plated press that uses heat and copious amounts of pressure) to finish the extraction process and form what is commonly referred to as Hash Rosin or Live Rosin.
Today we will go back in time to the Jurassic era and try Vivid’s Jurassic Jam. I purchased this product from Green Releaf. Jurassic Jam, a live rosin product that is derived from the Jurassic Kush strain comes in a sticky jam-like form.
I opened the container of Jurassic Jam to a wonderful, very fruity aroma. I could smell it before I put my face to the container which got some immediate points from me. The rosin was very clear amber and it had the consistency of honey. I scraped together my first dab and placed it into my e-rig, I was ready to blast off! As the nail got to the proper temperature I could already smell the delicious almost genuine berry aroma coming out of the top of the piece.
- Visual Appearance Score 10 – I loved the look of this product. It’s see-through amber appearance was very authentic to what I would expect something called “Jurassic Jam” to be like.
- Smell/Aroma Score 10 The aroma smacked me in the face right from the beginning with a smell of genuine berry that reminded me of Amish Jelly I try from time to time.
- Consistency Score 8 – The consistency was exactly as advertised, however, it was a hard product to work with. It wasn’t the easiest to get off the dabber and onto my e-rig nail which heats at its base.
Jurassic Jam | Vivid
As I inhaled all I could taste was strawberries and fruit. It was as though I had just taken a drink of a fruit smoothie. I exhaled a massive toke to experience a subtle cough. There was very little harshness and the flavor went on for what felt like a minute.
- Moisture/Solvent Score 10– There was no presence of excess moisture or solvent. No crackling as the product heated.
- Initial Flavor Score 10 – I loved the flavor of this genetic as soon as it hit my lips. It was a very unique and satisfying fruit/berry flavor.
- Harshness Score 9 – There was very little to no harshness, although it did elicit a cough. It was clearly very pure and well done.
- Exhale Flavor Score 10 – I was impressed at the way the flavor hung onto my taste buds for so long. It made dabbing this product very enjoyable.
Upon exhaling, I immediately felt a deep head change. I wasn’t put into a non-functional state with this product, in fact I was motivated! Very potent qualities traditionally associated with Sativa genetics although I’m not familiar with the lineage.
- Potency Score 8 – This product is very potent but not overwhelming. Very consistent with the more Sativa-attributed effects.
- Effect Score 10 – With this cultivar, I was incredibly productive and happy. I barreled through much of my work after dabbing this and even got some chores done around the house.
- Repeat Excitement Score 10 – I very much enjoyed this product and look forward to the next time I see it on the shelf.

In conclusion, this product offered many fun and exciting traits that I believe most patients would enjoy. One toke of this concentrate will leave your mouth watering from the delicious berry/fruit flavor and you will get a lot done. This is probably my favorite daytime smoke right now. I will be picking up more very soon.
