Growing up in Missouri I would have never imagined marijuana becoming legalized.
Having a culinary background, cooking with cannabis has been a big part of what I love about cannabis.
I’ve been a cannabis user for several years, my first method of marijuana consumption was consuming an edible and I fell in love with the idea of both cannabis and edibles right away.
Seeing the edible market grow has really been a treat, pun intended.
This month I hit up Homestate Dispensary in Kansas City to find a product to review. Homestate has one of the best varieties of edibles – from drinks to gummies, higher-dosed products to low-dosed edibles perfect for micro-dosing, and everything in between, with weekly deals and special pricing.
I chose Cheeba Chews, one of the biggest names in legal edibles, and a unique product in a space filled with chocolate and gummies.
The Cheeba Chews Sleepy Chews are a perfect sweet tooth craving right after dinner when you are winding down after a long day.
A chocolate taffy chew, with a 2:1 THC : CBN ratio blend. the chocolate taffy chews contain 50mg CBN : 100mg THC in a package of 20 chews to help you snooze, enhanced by approximately 2mg of melatonin.
INGREDIENTS: Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Cocoa Powder, Palm Kernel and Palm Oil (sustainably sourced), Nonfat Milk, Mono – Diglycerides, Chocolate Liquor, Soy Lecithin (emulsifier), Natural Flavors, Whey, Calcium Caseinate, Salt, Caramel Color.

Packaging 7 – The packaging fits the nighttime vibes. The Cheeba Chews being individually wrapped guarantee freshness which is a must. The one thing that stood out to me was that the dosage wasn’t labeled on the front, and the edible was a bit difficult to take out of the packaging but considering how humid Missouri is I know that plays a significant factor in that.
Ingredients 9 – Although this product isn’t vegan, and the Missouri market is in need of it. All ingredients are outlined properly.
Value 10 – With 20 individually wrapped pieces, I thought it was absolutely worth the price.
Originality 10 – There are not very many edible taffies out on the market, so I really enjoyed having something different for a change, these chocolate cheeba chews reminded me of one of my favorite childhood candies and I can’t be mad about that!
Consistency 10 – every chew is consistent in size as its individually packaged, consistency in taste is very important to me, and the flavor was very consistent.
Taste 10 – With most edibles, you can taste the distillate, which sometimes isn’t my favorite thing. I want to be able to taste the product without the distillate overpowering the edible, and this product most definitely exceeded my expectations.
Correct Dose 10 – Each Cheeba Chew had the same consistent effect. Within 30 minutes of taking it, I would start to feel it take effect.
Medicinal Value 10 – With this product also having a low dose of melatonin it was an excellent sleep aid and with them being low dosed in both THC and melatonin, I was comfortable with taking more than one.
Experience 10 – These Cheeba Chews Sleepy chews are great for winding down at the end of the day and getting a good restful sleep with no grogginess the next day. I didn’t have to hit snooze!
Repeat Purchase 10 – I have a variety of sleepy time aid’s that I use, but these sleepy chews are always a must to keep stocked in my medicine cabinet.
