The Agri-Genesis brand family is celebrating Farmer G Day this Thursday, September 29.
Anchored in Macon, Missouri, Agri-Genesis is celebrating the company’s founder and the namesake of its flagship brand with Farmer G Day at the Sunrise Dispensary location in Macon.
Macon plays an important part in the story of Agri-Genesis. Agri-Genesis Founder, Richard Gunnels is a lifelong resident of Macon County and has been farming the family land there for the better part of three decades. The Gunnels’ clan as a whole has been farming that patch of land for over 100 years.
The family’s roots run deep in Macon County, and it’s that deep sense of community and tradition that resonates deeply within the Farmer G brand and in turn, has made the brand such an important part of the community.
In celebration of the man who started it all, the company will be honoring Gunnels in a way that befits him best.
“Farmer G Day is a Birthday Celebration to honor our founder Richard Gunnels, the man that inspired the brand,” explained Agri-Genesis CMO Angela Morelli. “Richard wants to celebrate his birthday by giving back to our patients. We are offering the best prices ever on all Farmer G products.”
In addition to discounts and special pricing, the company will roll out a limited release of Farmer G Shatter and Farmer G Pre-Roll packs. The Farmer G Pre-Roll limited release includes 10 ½-gram pre-rolls in a collectible tin, while supplies last. Sunrise will also be offering a special in-store promotion for customers. “Purchases of $75 or more will receive a Farmer G Scratcher and every card is a winner!” Morelli said.
Limited release products and deals will be available at all Sunrise Dispensary locations, but the highlight of Farmer G Day will be at the company’s flagship location in Macon, where Farmer G himself, Richard Gunnels, will be making a personal appearance in his hometown, from 11 am to 2 pm.
“It is an honor to be a part of, and serve my community through this business,” Gunnels told Greenway. “I love all of our employees and customers, they are truly a part of my family. When I started this, everyone rallied around and supported me. It’s everything I hoped it would be, it’s a dream come true.”
“I think the popularity of this brand is attributed to the values that Richard and his family have represented for over a century,” Morelli explained. “Those family values set a high standard to produce consistent, top-quality cannabis and are in part, an expression of Richard himself. He wants to help as many patients as possible, giving them the best product and price so no one is without the medicine they need. Farmer G is not just a cannabis brand, it represents everything that is good about Missouri, Richard, and the Gunnels family values & legacy.”
