As an elder millennial with anxiety and an attention deficit, I’m generally in the market for a gardening experience that doesn’t require many moving parts and also can take the edge off with a quickness.
I find myself partaking in dabs with a nectar collector more often than any other method of consumption. Vape carts and disposables are awesome for on the go, but in this house, we hang with Dabagail.
The only downside is that a lot of the more popular concentrates can lean heavily toward the indica end of the spectrum, or at least those attributes come to the forefront.
This is great when rest and relaxation is the goal, but for days I want to do more than rot on the couch, finding a sativa-strong strain that leaves me feeling energized without the added effects of anxiety or paranoia is a tall order.
Enter Bunny Runtz. The name alone had my curiosity piqued. I was met with a lovely citrine blob that had this sort of lemony stank upon first opening the jar. It was lovely to work with and made easy work of preparing my dab. To say the effects of this product exceeded my expectations would be a pretty substantial understatement.
Visual Appearance Score: 8 This badder looks like earwax in both it’s golden color and it’s smooth consistency. It arrives without impurities in a slightly lumpy ball.
Smell/Aroma Score: 7 It is citrus on the front end, but upon exhale there is a slightly unpleasant aftertaste that I can only akin to someone else’s morning breath.
Consistency Score: 10 The consistency of this product was actually quite luscious. It was sticky enough to adhere to my cutting tool, but oily enough that it wasn’t hard to get off. It stuck to itself nicely and wasn’t at all crumbly, so adjusting the size of the dab was not such a stubborn task. This stuff was actually the easiest I’ve worked with in a while.
Moisture/Solvent Score: 10 There wasn’t any notable presence of excess moisture, and it was not dried up. This burned clean.
Initial Flavor Score: 10 The flavor was light and refreshing. The citrus notes are vibrant, and not at all chemical-tasting. My mind immediately goes to lemonade- it’s sweet, but the sour citrus balances it perfectly.
Harshness Score: 10 I am an admitted heavy cougher. The most mild smoke can still set me off. This stuff is so gentle and smooth that I circled back for round 2. At most, there may have been a slight tickle, and I must say, not coughing for 10 minutes post dab is a welcome change.
Exhale Flavor Score: 8 That sort of sour bad breath Flavor I mentioned before starts to come through, but just before it hits in a way that’s off-putting, it mellows out to a neutral almost woody flavor. I was much more impressed with the taste of this than I was the smell.
Potency Score: 10 At its peak, this product had me ready to take on the world. I struggle with getting multiple tasks completed, but for the first hour after smoking this, I accomplished 3 separate tasks, and got a substantial start on a couple more. If you want to enjoy completing your to-do list, this is your guy.
Effect Score: 10 I enjoyed the mental clarity and energy I experienced. Often these effects come with the downside of paranoia or anxiety, but I didn’t experience any of that. I felt happy, focused, creative, and energized, but so mentally calm.
Repeat Excitement Score: 10 This stuff has shaken me to my core. I’ll be adding this to my short list. It isn’t often I come across a product that doesn’t have any cons, but this one comes as close as any I’ve ever tried.
Total Score: 93
