Round 3 of the Flower Tournament Series set the stage for an epic championship
Round 3 of the Connoisseur Pack ‘Flower Tournament Series’ brought together four standout cultivators—Vibe Cannabis, Sinse, Nuthera, and C4—competing head-to-head in the latest edition of the Connoisseur Pack. Designed to showcase the finest strains from top cultivators, the Connoisseur Pack offers a unique opportunity for cannabis enthusiasts to explore and judge exceptional flower while giving cultivators a platform to highlight their best work. Each strain is judged across key categories like appearance, aroma, freshness, flavor, smoothness, and overall effects, ensuring only the highest-quality submissions rise to the top. For both seasoned connoisseurs and those discovering new favorites, the Connoisseur Pack is a celebration of the best cannabis Missouri has to offer. Round 3 was sold at Greenlight Dispensaries across the state at a $99 price point.
After Local Cannabis won the first inaugural Connoisseur Pack and took home the Championship belt, they began their undefeated run, defending the title two more times and showcasing their prowess as the best in the state. This inspired the creation of this tournament, which serves as a friendly battleground for Missouri’s top cultivators to collaborate and compete for a slot in the fourth and final Championship Round of the ‘Flower Tournament Series’ where the champs will make their anticipated return.
Round 3 has been widely praised by the community, with many calling it the best pack yet. Every cultivator delivered exceptional quality, and I personally really enjoyed all four strains and knew this would be a close call as soon as I popped the jars, but naturally, one strain had to come out on top. Here’s how the strains ranked and what made each one special. This makes the release of Championship Round, now available in stores, all the more enticing.
RKO | VIBE
1st Place – VIBE Cannabis with “RKO”
VIBE Cannabis claimed first place with their strain “RKO,” scoring an outstanding 8.3 overall. This strain is more than just a high scorer—it’s a piece of cannabis history with a story rooted in passion and innovation.
RKO was created by Jay Wills of Tree1Four, using two uniquely bred parent strains: Sunset Trop (Tropicana Cookies x Sunset Animal Cookies) and Crown Candy (Strawberries & Cream x Tagalongz). These fruit-forward, terpene-rich strains were crossed to create RKO, a genetic that is difficult to replicate due to its unique phenotypes and ultra-limited seed availability. Only 90 seed packs were made, and Vibe acquired one of the final packs to grow about 60 phenos. From these, they selected “Pheno #727” as their long-term keeper.
Pheno #727 combines the best qualities of its lineage, showcasing massive size, vibrant colors, rich flavor, high potency, and potent effects. Its terpene expression also makes it an ideal candidate for high-quality resin and rosin extracts. This unique strain embodies the meticulous craftsmanship of Vibe and Tree1Four.
Adding to its appeal, the RKO strain art reflects the power and energy of professional wrestling, with a nod to the collaboration between Jay and VIBE’s own Jared, a Missouri-based wrestler and Flower Lead. This one-of-a-kind strain represents the passion of VIBE’s team and their commitment to excellence.
Not only is RKO VIBE’s highest-rated submission to date, but it also outperformed their past entries like Mimosa (7.6), Grapes n Cream (7.4), and Strawberry Gary (7.8). This well-deserved win earns VIBE Cannabis a coveted spot in the Championship Round.
Cap Junky | SINSE
2nd Place – Sinse with “Cap Junky”
Sinse earned second place with “Cap Junky,” which scored an impressive 8.2 overall. This strain delivered a beautiful balance of sweet and gassy notes, backed by a hint of citrus that gave it a unique and memorable flavor. Cap Junky had the highest rating in the Flavor category. Its uplifting yet calming effects made it a crowd favorite and tied with RKO at the top for the Effects category. For THC % enthusiasts, this strain also had the highest % in the pack at a whopping 33%. Sinse’s genetic selection and expertise shone through, cementing their reputation as one of the top cultivators in the Missouri market.
Grape Cream Cake | Nuthera
3rd Place – Nuthera with “Grape Cream Cake”
Nuthera’s “Grape Cream Cake” placed third with a solid 7.9 overall but took the crown in the Appearance category with an outstanding 8.6 score. This strain dazzled with dense, frosty light green buds that helped GCC stand out the most visually in the pack. The creamy, sweet flavor paired perfectly with its smooth smoke and relaxing effects, making it a standout in its own right. Nuthera continues to prove they’re a quality brand with some great genetics, marking their second Connoisseur Pack appearance after their first being “Lemon Bar” in the ‘Citrus Themed’ Connoisseur Pack that dropped in early 2024.
Lemon Drip | C4
4th Place – C4 with “Lemon Drip”
C4 rounded out the competition with “Lemon Drip,” scoring a strong 7.8 overall. This citrus-forward strain wowed with its bright aroma, potent effects, and smooth finish. Exclusively available at Greenlight, this strain energizes and uplifts, making it a great choice for any time of day. This was C4’s first entry in a Connoisseur Pack and they proved worthy with a strong selection that was some of the freshest and stickiest buds in the pack. Lemon Drip helped C4 make their mark with the runner-up in the categories of Freshness and Smoothness, proving C4 as a worthy contender we’d love to see again soon in the Connoisseur Pack.
